Are your hobo nickels and coin rings made from real coins?
Yes. Every hobo nickel and coin ring from Lone Star Foundry is made from a genuine coin, not a replica. We use authentic U.S. coinage, including Morgan Silver Dollars, silver State Quarters, Buffalo Nickels, and other genuine coins depending on the product.
Our custom engraved Zippos are also engraved on genuine Zippo lighters.
Can I choose which coin my ring is made from?
Absolutely. You can select from the available coin types and options shown when ordering. If you are looking for a specific coin or date, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Processing time depends on the product:

Coin Rings: Approximately 2–3 weeks before shipping

Hobo Nickels: Usually ship within 3 business days

Custom Engraved Zippos: Usually ship within 3 business days
Once your order ships, U.S. delivery generally takes an additional 3–5 business days.
How do I know my ring size?
We recommend visiting a local jeweler to have your finger professionally measured for the most accurate ring size.
If you already own a ring that fits well, you can also measure its inner diameter and compare it to a ring sizing chart. If you are unsure about your size, contact us before ordering and we will be happy to help.
Can you make a ring from my own coin?
Yes, in many cases we can turn a customer-supplied coin into a ring. If you have a coin with personal or sentimental value, contact us before sending it so we can determine whether the coin is suitable for making into a ring.
Can I request a custom hobo nickel or Zippo design?
Yes. We are happy to discuss custom engraving requests for hobo nickels and Zippo lighters. Contact us with your idea, artwork, or design request, and we will let you know what is possible.
Are your Zippos genuine Zippo lighters?
Yes. Our custom engraved Zippos are made using genuine Zippo lighters. We engrave and customize the lighter while preserving the quality and function of the original Zippo.

Every coin ring, hobo nickel, and custom engraved Zippo is handcrafted, engraved, or customized right here in Central Texas, USA. Each piece is created one at a time with attention to detail and quality.
